Hi, my name is Neil and Im 28, been knitting for about 6 years now. I live with my partner Cathy who also knits, we are living in Cornwall at the moment.
Im a very creative guy, I love making clothes, painting, making music, photography etc, but I love having film marathons and knitting for hours!
We have just finished the Big Knit and are now looking for other projects. Im quite a good knitter, I can do some fancy things plus I can knit quite quick. I always prefer making things for others.
Would love to keep in touch with what is going on knitting for charity wise and hopefully make some knitting friends. We used to have our own clubs in the North for knitting, it would be excellent to get together with people and knit here in the South West.
Hope to hear from you all!

Hello! How lovely to have a knitting couple, my OH just doesn't get it

The new challenges will be announced on Sunday (I think) so you're bound to find something of interest in there, or of course there's always the wish lists. If you can knit it/make it, Lou can find a home for it - so get stuck in!

Have a good weekend :D

Welcome to Loving Hands honestrabbit and partner. Here we make (sew, knit, crochet) anything from Babies Booties, through to men’s slipovers, and blankets. As helenj has just said we are having our next challenge is due on Sunday. Not long to wait now. If you look at any of the donations pages to see pic’s of what we have done. You sound very talented. A big WELCOME to our group.

Hello Neil & Welcome. We do a great variety of items for charities, there will be plenty for you to choose from, or just do your ''own thing'' & tell us about it , not that we are nosey :!: but it is good to see other work we may not have thought of trying. Enjoy.

See - told you they were all lovely! It is great to have you both with us - maybe Matthew will pop back in to chat again more often now he knows he is not alone on the forum - our other gents tend to stay in the background and work away with their wives and send in their items very quietly (except the wonderful hat making hubby in NI as all of his hats are duly photographed and commented on every week!!!).

I am sure you will both have fun with us here - tell Cathy to come on and chat too - we don't bite - honest!

Welcome to you both! How lovely to be able to talk about knitting and have your partner understand what you're going on about - fab! Hope you like it here.

Hello & Welcome from me!

Good for you for coming on here!!!! My hubby has picked up a pair of needles I think once when I made him contribute one stitch to a jumper I was knitting. LOL!

You must get Cathy to join up to.

Neil and Cathy, a warm welcome to Loving Hands and now that I see a man posting and knitting I shall have another go at my DH - who can knit but says he won't and
when DS arrives for his Christmas break I shall be giving him some needles and telling him to get stuck in too. They both say that its only women on the site and doing the knitting
you have proved them WRONG. Yipee -
Jean in France

Hi,
It's great to have someone else from the West Country here, there's not many of us about - I am in Somerset now but used to live near Plymouth.
Hope you and your other half enjoy LH as much as the rest of us, keep your eyes open for the Winter challenge due to be announced today. Good luck & happy knitting

Jacqui

Hello Neil and Kathy

Great to have you on board. You have joined a great group of people, very friendly, and always there to help. Lovely to have a man's perspective on knitting as well.

Happy knitting.

Molly

Thank so much for your lovely welcome! I am currently weighing up some charitys to knit for but in the meantime have been making iPod covers for friends (including my own ;) ), theyre very fun to make. When I have the chance I could post up some pictures and instructions.
