Dot, I don't have a fancy signature, although I love seeing everyone else's, but I just click on one of the emoticons and it puts it into my post. You don't see it on the page, but if you click on submit and then view your post, it's there. Hope this helps. :)

The reason your smileys are not on all the time could be that the site you link to only has a certain amount of bandwidth. Once the daily amount has been used up your smiley won't show again til the next day. Can't think of any other reaosn.
