Hi Maureen, I'm very sorry to hear about your mum's illness. Yes, Cilla took me completely took me by surprise when I went to church on Sunday and asked me if I was the purple monkey!! well, it would have been worse if I had been the Scarlet Pimpernel! I then had to explain the name which is all related to the time I decided to make sock monkeys for the children which turned out REALLY badly and instead of being the cute toys I had hoped for they were the ugliest things you've ever seen in your life, however the children adore them and still take them to bed each night - it must be that they are so ugly they feel compelled to love them because no-one else could. I'm a very frustrated designer at heart as I have a catalogue of disasters that always turn out totally different to my plan and the children inherit them because they are too bad to give to anyone else. The latest thing was a donkey I made out of one of Joe's old jumpers and Rebecca said it looked more like a sheep than anything so she's called it "Shonky" and they are inseperable! I really should stick to patterns! It was very funny at church though and then I had to go through it all again to Roger who was completely bemused! I hope you're keeping ok, xx
