Hi I am Jackie and, like others, saw about you on www.Moneysavingexpert.com I haven't knitted for YEARS so will be starting slowly. I come from Northampton and have just officially retired although still help my husband, John, with his bookwork (he is a driving instructor).

I LOVE films so spend quite a bit of time each week at my local cinema. Wonder if I could knit there too???? No, perhaps not...

Sadly I gave all my knitting needles away ages ago so its off to town to buy some new ones. x

Welcome, Jackie. Hope your knitting goes well. Have you tried charity shops for your needles? Might be worth a go.

Another new member who joined today from good old money saving expert.

I am an accountant from Milton Keynes who promised that I would give something back as soon as exams etc were over, so here I am.

This is perfect as it fits in with the family and is something I enjoy doing.

Thank you for the opportunity!

Welcome to LH! Jackie - you wouldn't be the first person to knit in the cinema! There was a thread awhile back in the General Chat section about where we all like to knit and someone did mention the cinema

Hi. Thanks for the offer of needles. Got a couple of pairs quite cheaply so dont need any more at moment, thanks. As haven't knitted for 30 years plus, I have been trying my hand at Super Stretchy hats. I am still not the neatest knitter in the world but have managed 6 hats so far and really enjoying them. Would like to try something bit more complicated now. Maybe a jacket? Will look for pattern somewhere. Is it only preemies you knit for or larger sizes too? Interested to read about the breasts. Where is the pattern for those please? Do you still need some?

breast patterns are located on the patterns section on the forum here and we do a lot more first size baby clothing than we do in prem sizes here as there are a lot of groups who specialize in prem baby clothes but forget that hospitals are still desperate for clothing for newborns too :0)
