We have been given the opportunity to reserve a few tables at the local Christmas Craft Fair on Saturday 14th November. We have reserved 3 tables - 2 for knitted/crochet items and the other table will be used for selling cakes etc. At our last meeting we all through our ideas into the ring and have came up with a selection of goodies. As for the cake stall, well what can I say - Jackie will be busy!!!!

The money that we raise we will be putting it into our wool fund which will keep the girlies going (and out of trouble).

Will keep you all posted on our efforts.

Cherryl xx

GOOD LUCK on your 3 stalls, too far for me to travel though. Fingers crossed for a good turn out.

Can we donate a little something? If you would like a small donation for the stall just say and I am sure we will all rally round.

Maureen,

Your very kind offer is very much appreciated. If everything goes according to plan - we will need extra tables!! I will be posting photos as we go along to see what you all think.

Good luck with your craft fair. It sounds as if you may need more tables.

Well, we had a fab day. We were all in the festive spirit - below is a picture of Jackie in her handmade Christmas jumper,

Image

Unfortunately after taking this photo - my camera battery went flat!!

There wasn't a fantastic turnout to the sale but we did really well. We raised between our cake stall and knitting/crochet stall a fantastic £280. We were so excited!!!

Many many thanks goes to Jackie who baked a total of 10 Christmas cakes and over 300 pastries/buns for the sale, Barbara baked a load of sausage rolls and made rum and raisen truffles, Heather who baked 14 carrot cakes and Margaret L who baked some cakes for us to sell. I managed the traybakes etc - things that you don't need to turn the oven on for.

Thanks also goes to Jackie, Heather G, Barbara, Jennifer, Anne, Ingrid and Rosemary who all covered the stalls.

Many thanks also goes to the girlies who turned up to support us and bought goodies from us for a wee cuppa

Also thanks to Maureen for the tree decorations, purses and lavender sachets sent for us to sell.

The good thing is that all the baked goodies have been frozen for our meetings on Thursday nights. All knit/crocheted items will be kept for our next sale on the Saturday 28th November and after that we have another sale to do on Friday 4th December and after that they will all be donated to our charities.

Thanks again everyone.

Cherryl xx
