Sorry this has taken so long to put on but here we go....

At Friday’s meeting there was Jean, Lena, Liz, Rosie, Elaine, Pearl, Meg (Mag’s cousin who is visiting from Australia), Mag, Arlene, Barbara, Isobel and myself. We were also joined later on by Jessie and Vi.

As it was Mag’s birthday on the Sunday she’d made a lovely lemon sponge cake – imagine having to make your own birthday cake – bless her. It was delicious as always.

There were loads and loads of donations from this meeting – well done everyone :P

Jean had made 11 scarves and 63 squares!

Liz had made 16 hats and 18 squares.

Elaine had made 6 hats, 6 vegetable pot warmers, 1 Sands blanket, 1 Oxfam jumper and a hat, bag and scarf set

Image

Mag had made 3 hats, 1 scarf, 1 baby bonnet and 2 ipod covers.

Image

Arlene had made 1 scarf and 8 vegetable pot warmers.

Image

Barbara had made a “robin red breast”, a pumpkin boob, a pink boob, 4 teddy jumpers and she also donated a shawl she picked up.

Image Image

Isobel had made 1 scarf, 2 hats, 1 beret and a pair of mittens.

Image

I had made 4 vegetable pot warmers and a baby hat.

Image

Jessie had made 18 pairs of child’s slippers and also donated 2 cardigans as well.

Tere had dropped her donation of 71 squares off to Mag!

Moira had given her donation of 15 baby hats to Elaine.

What a huge amount of fantastic donations everyone. Well done to all of you.

Thanks again for a lovely afternoon ladies, looking forward to the next meeting x

Not only am I amazed by the quantity and quality of the donations I am equally impressed by how you managed to get all those photos onto the forum without difficulty. Please email me and tell me how you do it please Alana.

Beautiful work everyone.

Me to Alana - if you can send me instructions you use to put on these photos I will be able to get the list up this weekend xx

What fantastic donations from Stonehaven group - you are all stars! Great to see that the three musketeers all made it - we are all hoping that a new venue for Aerdeen will come up in the new year but until then Stonehaven is certainly keeping things rolling along very nicely for that end of the country xx

Lynn & Lou, i've just emailed you both instructions on how i put the photos on the forum. I have a flickr account and do it through there, but if you don't or don't want to open one, let me know and i'll see if there is another way for you to do it.

It's not complicated once you know how to do it. If you get stuck give me a shout.

What lovely donations!
Seeing all the beautiful slippers lined up made me think of "The elves and the shoemaker" - so was it all Jessie's work, or did elves creep in to help? :D

Thanks for the email Alana. I use Flickr too but was trying to post directly onto the forum which doesn't work anymore. You put all your words and photos into a word document and then copy and paste the whole caboodle onto the forum which obviously works a treat as yours looked fantastic, especially the side by side photos which is much easier to read. Next time I post I will do it this way and see how it goes. I might do a trial one later this evening and then delete it just to see if I can do it ok.

Thanks again Alana, very useful information.

Well done to everyone at Stonehaven. I am beginning to feel a bit lazy after seeing all those fantastic things. I wonder why Jessie does not open a shop! How does she manage it?

Jessie will be 91 on Christmas Day, a little past opening a shop I think. We will ask her if she would like to but I think not.
