H everyone, another newbie here...

My name is Delyth, I'm in my thirties and I live in Wales with my husband, two sons aged 7 and 5 and a daughter aged 3. I work part time as a classroom assistant in a nursery school, and am also studying with the Open University.

I found out about Loving Hands through the Old Style Boards on MoneySavingExpert.

I have accumulated lots of odds and ends of yarn after various knitting projects and am looking forward to putting them to good use!

Hello and welcome Delyth, it's great here, LH are such a friendly crowd always ready to help.
Lou works very hard and always seems to find the right homes for everything we send her.
Both the craftwork and Forum are addictive so be prepared to give up some time as once you get hooked......well that's it really, you ARE hooked.
Where about in Wales are you? I'm in Hirwaun, near Aberdare in South Wales.

love, Barbara xx

Hello Delyth, welcome to LH. You must be a busy mum & working as well, so I am sure joining our group will give you a change of scene. We have great ''chats'' & help is readily on hand. Lou, the Boss has a nasty cold @ moment but that won't stop her work for LH. Enjoy :!: Do.

Welcome to another welsh lass, were you born in Wales? If you have time as a busy working mum, you could use your oddments yarn either for knitting squares or baby hats. Both easy to do. That’s if you have time after knitting clothing your family. If you only want to come for a chat that too is OK. Hugs.

Ooh how exciting, I didn't expect so many replies!

Yes I was born in Wales, have always lived in Ceredigion.

For my first project I have printed off the Boob pattern. I had trouble breastfeeding my daughter as she was born with tongue tie and so I had to express, so the idea of making something to help teach mums how to express really appeals to me.

Hello,

have only been here a few months myself but I love it. Everyone is so friendly and helpful, and seeing the beautiful work being sent in really inspires me to try different things.

The boobs are great - really useful, a good talking point and quick and easy to make. Good choice!

Helen x

Boobs are so very useful, I was borne tongue tied too. I am so glad somebody helped me to survive I haven’t knitted any yet. But I feel I should. I will now add them to my ever growing to-do list. Thanks for reminding me.

Hello Delyth
What a lovely name, hope you enjoy being with us all. Some of us crazy, some of us experience those 'senior moments' but most of the time we are helpful and friendly
What subject are you studying at Open University :?: How on earth do you find time to study, knit and look after a family of 3 plus OH:!: Dot
