Depends what sort of accomodation you are looking for Ilona and for how long? There are travel lodges and things like that which charge a flat rate for room only, B + B's which are very nice and not too expensive or if you were coming for a few days maybe self catering accomodation would be best??? Wish I had more room here - it would be lovely to have you staying with us :0)

Charlie,

There are plenty of laces to stay but as everyone has said it depends on what your are looking for. Do you want to be in a rural setting or do you want to be more central where there are shops, cafes, things to see and do?

Thanks for the info about the airport Pam.

Couldn't find any for Kelty on that link archiel. Maybe I didn't look properly.

Lou you are definitely one of the kindest people I know.

It would be for a week if I can make it with hubby and grandson. Depends on the job situation.

B & B or self catering. Never heard of travel lodges before.

Got to get to bed now as I have to be up real early in the morning.

OK I will put out feelers and see what I can find for you - get you some prices etc - it would be fabulous to see you and if you were here for a week you could come to a group meeting and see all the crazy fifers face to face! (Be warned though - if you are close to HQ you may be put to work while you are here!). Great thing about here is it is very central so you could get to lots of places as well (Edinburgh Zoo, Deep Sea World, Edinburgh Dungeons, Safari Park and loads more - Fife is a great place to visit!).

Thanks a lot Lou. Hope it doesn't take up to much of your time as I see you still have lots of other things to do.

If we make it I will definitely come to the meeting if I can find where it is that is :). I'd love to see you all.

Is there a bus that goes from Edinburgh Airport to Kelty? I will pop in every now and then when I get a spare minute or two.

If you don't intend to hire a car when you are over I will certainly come and collect you all from the airport. There is a B+B in the next street to me so I will ask there for you. Did you want a family room so the three of you can be together or a double and a single seperately ??? Don't worry - if you are here over a Monday afternoon you will be coming down to the meeting with me and Kelly - that way you won't get lost ;0) Once you are here there are good transport links to get to a lot of nice places to visit as well :0) Any idea what time of year you were intedning coming over?

Lou you really are amazing! What a kind lady you are....taking on airport collections and accomodation bookings! Are you calling the new operation Travelling Hands? Seriosly though it was so nice to read about your kind offers and I hope Ilona will have a really lovely time up there. It is a very nice area ...we were up there a few years ago in our caravan and there were so many places to visit. What a shame I did not know you then...I bet I could have caused havoc!!
