So lovely worded Maureen, it says everything. I agree it would be nice to dedicate the book to him too.

That is a wonderful suggestion Maureen - I think it would be the perfect way for Loving Hands to show Elaine our support at this time. Just as the Wooligans are working on the memory and friendship blankets Loving Hands could dedicate their recipe book in memory of Jim - hope you are lurking and reading all the lovely posts on here and MSE Elaine - I am sure it will be a great comfort to know how many people on both forums are thinking of you :0)

Maureen, what a wonderful suggestion. Having experienced the deepest darkest days myself I found that with support from those who care and love you it can make such a difference

I agree that is a really good suggestion Maureen.

I hope Elaine feels up to coming here again soon. Having someone to talk to and having something to occupy her mind will help a lot.

Lovely words Maureen and I think it would be a wonderful idea to dedicate the book to Elaine's husband. I do hope Elaine will be back with us as soon as she feels able to do so. We are all thinking of her and her family.

Molly

Course you can Jean, the more the merrier.

The more recipes EVERYONE sends in the quicker I`ll be able to get the book organised and the sooner you`ll all be able to get your hands on it to try out all the goodies.

Stop dribbling Maureen

Once I get my `proper`computer back I`ll get going again. I`m not very keen on this laptop thingy as I find it awkward typing on it, buy hey beggars can`t be choosers and at least it gets me online again.

Come on all the newbies - join in - your favourite recipes to me please asap. Anything at all sweet, savoury, hot, cold, slimline or full fat it can all go in - but I need your contributions please everyone.

Elaine.

Maureen have you a favourite colour for said bib? also pm your addy and I will make you one. Does it need to be a pelican type - that way you can stuff the spare pernod into it instead of the wool in your cleavage.

Have just been putting one of my favourite (made-up) recipes down on paper and have realised what a slapdash cook I am - there is very little in the way of proper measuring
I will aim to make it this week and check my measuring with a view to someone else being able to follow the instructions.
By the way, it's a rare savoury dish - I'm rubbish at cakes so will be buying the book for all the cake recipes from you lot!

k2tog - you are not alone, believe me.

I`ve often made something and when someone asks for the recipe I tell then some of this, a bit of that, a splash of the other then throw in a handful of something else and stir it all together and Bob`s your uncle. Trouble is it never tastes the same twice running. Ah well, they do say variety is the spice of life and at least it doesn`t get boring.

Elaine.
