Hello everyone.

At today’s meeting were myself, Rosie, Jean, Isobel, Barbara, Pearl, Lena, Mag, Jessie and her carer Vi and a new lady Liz Jamieson, who is a friend of Rosie.

Elaine’s husband’s funeral was on Thursday and it was a lovely service. Hopefully Elaine will soon feel up to joining us again. Our thoughts are with you Elaine x

We had a whirlwind of a meeting again. It was absolutely miserable outside but there was plenty of cheer inside. There were loads of donations this week so i’ll just get on with listing them:

From Isobel there were 2 Oxfam Jumpers, 1 child’s jumper, 1 sands blanket, 3 preemie hats and 1 baby hat. Beautiful work Isobel and i love the yellow, it’s really pretty.

Barbara brought in some fantastic yarn for us which is mostly 1 ply and would make lovely lacey scarves.

From Mag there was 1 teen jumper, 1 child’s jacket, 2 Oxfam jumpers, 2 baby cardigans, 1 baby hat, a sands blanket and a gorgeous adult’s waistcoat. What great work Mag and everything is beautiful.

From Jessie there were 24 pairs of crocheted child’s/baby’s slippers and 10 pairs of adult’s slippers. Amazing work Jessie and they are all just beautiful. All the little finishing touches make them extra special. What an amazing lady you are.

Pat Popplestone had handed in 3 lovely crocheted blankets. They are beautiful and we loved the grey and pink one as the colours go really well together.

Tere Langhan had handed in another 8 squares. Thanks Tere these are really mounting up now.

There were also 10 beautiful granny squares donated by the daughter of a lady called Moira. Moira sadly passed away not long ago and her daughter very kindly wanted to donate them to us.

From myself there was a scarf. I’m desperately trying to finish the border for a sands blanket and also a cat blanket that i am two thirds of the way through. I will post a pick hopefully on Sunday when i have completed them.

Well done everyone, great donations and beautiful work as always :D

Jacqui unfortunatley there isn't one for the slippers. Jessie has it all in her head. Mag is going to sit down with her one day and write the pattern out as Jessie makes a pair, so should have it one day soon :)

In this mornths issue of simply knitting it featured a product called Stop Sock which is a type of latex liquid that you put on the base of socks to make them into slipper socks.

 It would be great for these slippers too.
