Apologies were received from myself (bloomin sciatica) and Jean Dare who was unwell, hope you feel better soon Jean.

Present were Mag, Elaine (psso), Barbara (knitknut), Kathleen, Isobel (grizzelt) and Pearl Ross a new member. Welcome Pearl and i hope you enjoyed the meeting.

It sounds like a great time was had by all and i hear Barbara had you all in stitches several times. (Good job i wasn’t there – laughing hurts!)

I’d like to say a big thank you to everyone for coming to the second meeting and for all your fantastic donations. Everyone’s work is beautiful.

From Mag there was a hooded jacket, 3 jumpers and 2 boobs (i knew that first one wouldn’t be your last!)

From Barbara there were 4 boobs, a dog coat (very cute) and a cat scratching block.

From Kathleen there was a child’s cardigan, hat and mitten set and 2 pairs of booties.

Image

From Isobel there were 2 Sands blankets, 3 jumpers, 3 puppy/dog coats, knitting mags and needles.

Image

From Pearl Ross there were 6 adult hats, 1 child’s hat, 6 child’s cardigans, 2 child’s jumpers, 2 teen jumpers and 1 premature baby cardigan.

Pearl’s friend had very kindly made 7 baby hats and 4 pairs of booties.

Jessie Bremner popped in to drop off her donation of 18 (yes 18 !) pairs of slippers/bedsocks, a blanket and some wool.

And last but not least was a lap blanket donated by Margaret Wilkie.

What a huge amount of donations for our second meeting – well done everyone :)

Keep up the good work ladies x

Sounds as though you are going from strength to strength over in the East :D For some reason I couldn't view the pics of all the items made, but you have all been very busy. Keep up the good work  Dot

Don`t mean to be cheeky about your photos Alana, but the pic really doesn`t do justice to Jessie`s slippers, does it. When I saw them `in the flesh` I thought the little ones especially were just GORGEOUSLY CUTE and some lucky kiddies will adore them - I know I would.
I hope I can be as productive as Jessie when I`m her age - was it 90 or 91 Mag ?

Can`t wait to see the men`s slippers she said she was going to do next.

Elaine.
What`s happened to the photos ??? they`ve gone.
Edit : bloomin` letters on keyboard sticking again

I think the photos disappear when the forum people are doing updates - they seem to come back again after a while :0) Don't worry. Elaine - I have filled two boxes with pretty blankets, 14 to 16 inch cardies, hats and bootees and a selection of burial items for you - I will get Parcel2go to bring them up to you this week - it will be nice to help a Scottish hospital again :0) Fingers crossed that they will be happy with everything we have made and ask for more :0)

Hi Elaine,
It was my fault about the photos, George took them. The slippers were on the floor and as George is over 6ft2in there is the problem, too far away.
Apologies Alana.
Perhaps it would be better done at the class next time.
Mag

Oh thanks for that Lou, was worried in case you`d sent them and they`d gone AWOL.

Ooh, not much wonder the pic was a wee bit oof as they say in the trade (out of focus) if the camera was so high up ( I`m only 5` 1" ) so I`d get dizzy up there. Apologies to Alana & George

Looking forward to the next meeting - it`ll be interesting to see if anyone turns up. Think I`ll pop over and see the auntie who lives near there and see if she fancies coming over for a cuppa, even if she only comes for some company, she might be tempted to pick up her needles again.

Elaine.

I will give our Heather a ring - she lives near the Hospital as she works in the doctors surgery that is attachd to the infirmary as a receptionist - hopefully she will manage to get over to the meeting but she doesn't drive so it will depend on buses from the hospital area to BOD - don't know Aberdeen at all so can't picture the layout of the city at all :0)

Heather is my friend and moved up there many years ago - when she is down here visiting her dad and family here in Kelty she normally comes to our monday meeting and sits and knits a baby hat while she is here :0)

I also had trouble viewing the pics but they have come up loud and clear today and I am well impressed by all the lovely contributions, especially Jessie's slippers. please could you tell me wher the pattern can be found. I would love to have a go at them.
Love Mad Maureen X
