Sorry I didn't get back to your message. Yes the knitting shop is still there but to be honest I don't use it very much. It has changed hands recently but still the same window.

Fairbairns have closed thier top shop (Castlegate) last month so only have the bottom shop at the top of hide hill by the town hall. Must admit it's the butchers that I use but again its not the same owners.

Strangely enough I live between the caravan park and Castlegate, near the Pilot if you are familiar with the local drinking dens. I was actually born in Dunfermline and lived in different areas of Fife for the first 6 years of my life.

Nice to see someone fairly close to me...I'm near Seahouses and have just recently joined here myself...and funnily enough I went to school in St Andrews, Fife.
