Hi there, Kirsty here, otherwise known as Mrs Jolly Jack Tar (hubby was in the Navy...) I met some of you on Saturday at the Knitpic but forgot to introduce myself properly on here - oops! Smile

I've been knitting for about thirty years and have always got far too many different things on the pins. I get easily distracted by lovely wool and new patterns.................I do usually have socks on four needles in my handbag because they fit in quite nicely and I can knit them on the train on the commute to work.....

I don't know if I'll be able to make meetings very often but I will drop in here regularly and have pledged to make one night a week charity knitting night!

Hello Kirsty, I was down for the Knitpic too, were you the lady with the little girl or the lady in shorts Question Anyway we are glad you can join us and I'm sure you will enjoy being part of the forum. I usually only knit in the evenings while watching TV as otherwise I think I am wasting my time sat in front of the box Rolling Eyes My sister has brought me some wool, its brown, so not a school jumper but an everyday jumper I am knitting with some creamy stripes in it just to relieve the monotony a bit. Very Happy Dot

Welcome Kirsty - so pleased you were able to make the KnitPic. I wasn't physically present - there in spirit as I live in East Sussex...and it was just a tad too far to pop over! They're a great bunch on here and we have very supportive partners who ferry us around, buy wool and take parcels to the post office...to name a few. So they're very much part of the group too. You can knit whatever you fancy and hope you can join in the Challenges too - Lou will always find a home for any item. Most importantly though....ENJOY!
