Dot you just go to profile, click on signature box and press delete.
Then you select a new smiley and save it and paste it into signature like you did before.
That's what Jim did when I tried my smiley and it worked. Hope that helps
Nita

Thanks Nita, I'll remember that, but I had better keep the daisy for a while so I can see it spinning around a few more times, you know what they say, little things....... Dot

How stupid can one be. At last I've got it. Tried all different ways to add a smiley at end of messages and hope it works.

Dot...give your picture to me. I love it to bits! But make sure you transfer it with instructions that a complete novice/ignoramus can understand because that is where I am at! :?
Love Maureen

I now have a shiny new sig - courtesy of Ilona. Thanks very much Ilona - it took me a while to sort out copying it so I'd never have set it up myself.
Best wishes.

quote]If you want to add a picture everyone seems to use the website photobucket.com

You don’t have to register. Search to find a picture you like, say of a balloon, search balloon, try adding the word glitter, or blue. The picture must have the ending .jpg or .gif

I find it best to open a new window so I have two open. Woman and Home window and Photobucket. and then toggle between the two, but its not necessary.

Do you know your right from your left?

On your chosen picture, double click. A new window opens. Scroll down and look in the box that’s called ‘Image Link Code’

Copy the IMG code — ‘Forums & Bulletin Boards’

To copy, left click and it should highlight in blue.

Then right click on the highlighted words to get the drop down menu, left click on “copy”

This will copy the URL Address onto your clipboard so you can paste it into your posts.

Make sure your picture isn’t too large and that it ends in jpg or gif

Write a post. To get your picture to appear you must paste the URL Address from your clipboard into you post. You do this by right clicking in your post. A drop down menu appears. Select PASTE with the left hand button and the URL address should appear.

When you have finished your post you can check that the picture will appear by clicking in the ‘I want to preview my post box’. and it will show you your post before it goes live.

To get it into every post you must add it to your signature. Go to ‘User Options’ in the blue band at the top of the page, scroll down to ‘main configuration’ ‘personal information, email etc.’ click on ‘edit’

Scroll down and in the box where it says ‘Signature’ .You have to paste in the URL Address in the same way as before and then it will appear in every post, if you check the box when you send a post. It will also be back dated and be in every post you ever did.

Hope it helps, give it a go.

Hi like your little piccie, now lets try an Avatar (in the margin piccie).

An avatar appears in the margin and has to be very small 80 x 80 pixels.

Photobucket.com have some, and you do not need to register to find them. Or try Google images.

Copy it to your pictures in your hard drive.

(Right click to get menu, copy, and the open your picture folder in your documents. Right click again and select paste.)

On the Woman & Home page, Log in.
Click User Options in the blue bar next to your name.

Scroll down to ‘Personal information, email, password, etc.’
Click on ‘Edit’ to open

Scroll down to the box about Avatars.

Click the radio button to “upload your avatar” Click on the “BROWSE” button and you can find your picture folder on your hard drive and then your picture. Double click on your picture and it should upload it to the W&H site.

(Cross your fingers at this point if you want it to work!)

Then scroll down and click on Submit.

If you want to print this out, click at bottom right with left mouse button. Hold button down and run over text to top left so that it is all highlighted. Right click to get menu, and left click “Copy”. Then open a word document, and paste it in. Then you can print the document in the usual way.

Hope this helps.
Give it a go.

Loo
