Why is West Yorkshire so Bl****y big?
I would love to be a member of a local group but my disabilities prevent me from travelling and at the moment I can't drive because my feet and legs are so swollen, so I am confined really to a very small radius around Halifax. WHAT A PAIN!
Love Mad Maureen X

Hi, Maureen. Can't do any thing about the size of W Y'hire for you but I will send you photo of finished Bob the Builder which should give you a laugh. You went to a lot of trouble sending his pattern (twice). When I read how restricted you were getting around I felt bad about all the grumping I did while knitting him, but he really was a real pain. Got my revenge when his big wobbly head kept nodding at me, I took an old knitting needle , pushed it tro' top of head to ' nether' regions & that sorted him. My Bob is like atwo year old showing him off. Can't put photos on Forum, too complicated for me .Hope things ease a bit for you .Do. XX

Mad Maureen
I really hope somebody contacts you from close at hand. I live right out in the sticks and like you would love to meet up with others - BUT closest at present is 4 hour each way drive for me - I am keen but not that keen, so in the meantime you and me will just continue in our search and annoy everyone else on the forum, at least it keeps me laughing! When Lou finishes the map of people we might be lucky to find folk closer at hand - fingers crossed.

Hmmm, I`m not coming if it`s raining tho` :(

Elaine, the rain is off noo, like you (Scottish blue I expect) I am not a great fan of the heat either. How to get a sun tan start off blue, then go pinkish, then go brighter red, then peel then give up is my motto. Long sleeve shirts and great big sun hats - oh and the wellies is my summer rig. I paint a fairly vivid picture eh?

Aye definitely Jean - your description sounds about right for here as well.

It`s getting a bit black looking here, so maybe your rain is coming over here now.

Better just put the washing in the dryer then.

Elaine.

Lou - I expect that in these days of regulation with health and safety and all that - both wellies and sun cream are essential items............never needed the cream in ma days jist the wellies! Surprised they haven't asked for her to be wrapped in cotton wool

Hi, Anyone in this forum from the Rossendale Valley, would love to have a get together once a month or once a week if you are a nutty knitter like me!!! Our nearest wool shop is 10 miles away, but its crammed packed with tempting wools of all kinds. As I have that much knitting on the go at the moment I have to resist buying anymore even though the temptation gets me !!!
Got a sands blanket on the go, and other bits and pieces ready to send in a parcel soon, then im knitting a long aran coat for a friend, and other things. My Loving Hands knitting is my evening knitting when I can watch telly at the same time. (A woman of many talents!!!)
So if anyone is tunning in from the Rossendale Valley perhaps we could arrange something.
