I have just found this pattern for fingerless gloves. I haven't tried knitting it yet. But it sounds easy enough. S S.

FINGERLESS GLOVES-This simple pattern can be accomplished in only a few hours for even the most novice of knitters. Choose a warm easy to wash yarn.
Cast on enough stitches to measure 7 inches. Garter stitch for another 7 inches. Cast off. Fold in half so as that you have 7 inch rows instead of several 3 ½ inch rows. Stitch shut the seam for 1 ½ inches. Leave an open 2 inch thumb gap. Stitch the bottom part of the seam shut. Make an identical second glove and VOILA(!) cute and warm fingerless gloves perfect for any teen. (Alter the pattern slightly for different sized hands and gloves.)

Thanks silver surfer forgot about these use to knit them a couple of years ago in eyelash yarn for 2 of my Grandaughters who had me making them in lots of different colours, who called them wrist warmers. They are just a tube of knitting so even for the newest of knitters would be great :) Anita - Have a great Sunday
