Here we are - better late than never - I know I have a sink full of dishes - a cup of tea - my Sky+ and my ironing waiting to be done but will do these updates first :0)

At the meeting were Myself, Kelly, Jean, Stella, Grace, Isobel, Margaret G, Isabel, Gladys, Maureen and Eve.

We had a lovely surprise as Gladys had been sorting out the funds again and had managed to buy £120 worth of wool from a lady who was clearing out all her car boot stock - everyone went home with lots of new yarn to work with and I took the white to send to Tinyholt for the teddy head balnkets she is making :0)

Gladys also gave me £150 donation from kelty group funds to help with postage - buying more stuffing etc - brilliant - thank you Gladys and all at the Kelty group - we do manage to save a lot by having our meetings here in the Community Centre as they give us charitable use and it costs just £2 for the afternoon - brilliant - we do like to save pennies :0)

The donations from today were:-

Isobel 1 sands blanket and 1 matinee coat :0)

from Grace - 1 lovely bunny :0)

from Stella - fresh back from her holiday to Canada :0) 1 sands blanket, 1 baby hat, 1 baby cardie, 1 kids cardie, 1 kids hat, 1 dog coat and 1 cat blanket :0)

from Isa and Ingie another two lovely crochet lap rugs :0)

from Margaret G we had 1 elephant and 1 lovely kids poncho :0)

from Maureen another 8 scarves :0)

Great donations again girls and a wonderful meeting :0)

The elephant is from the Australian Womens Weekly - Knit a Square & Make a Toy Book - Grace brought it to the birthday lunch meeting we had at my house and I copied a couple of the patterns for some of the girls. I am now trying to get my own copy but in UK they are now charging £26.99 on amazon and ebay for this - was only £6.99 when it was first printed in 1996! Grace got her copy at a car boot sale for £1 - bargain! She says I can make copies of the patterns for anyone who wants them though :0)
