Hi, thanks for the welcome, I've just joined and I'm enjoying all the topics and replies. I'm currently knitting a shawl for the Fistual Hospital appeal and getting great pleasure from choosing the colours, I thought it was a good use of stash stuff but soon realised that putting the right colours together is such a lovely thing to do.

Hello to all the newbies over the last I don't know how long as I haven't been on for ages, welcome to Loving Hands. It is a lovely group, all friends together, doing the things we like to do for charity. I have really enjoyed my six months or however long that I have been involved and feel that I have so many friends out there. Hope you are all as happily knitting, crocheting and sewing as I am.

Hi Stonehaven Sue, Welcome to L H tell us more about the Fistual Hospital appeal. It sounds nice to be able to knit a shawl in colours. We knit Sands shawl's that are rather nice as we start with one st and increase every row till 100grms are used up then dec. in the same way. The lace edging is added after or not if you don't have the skill or confidence. So it is sutable for all levels of knitting. What is the one like you are knitting?
