Hello from Jazeygirl. Haven't done much knitting for a long time but saw your website and there seem to be so many good causes that I thought I should get my knitting needles out and dust away the cobwebs. Hope to be sending you something in the near future. :)

Hi Jazeygirl,
Welcome to LH. It won't be long before you get messages from the other mad knitters here, but don't worry - as they say, you don't have to be mad to join us, but it helps!
Hope you enjoy the challenges and the ongoing projects, I'm sure you will find something to inspire you to pick up those needles and get knitting
Jacqui X

Hello and welcome from West Yorkshire..Halifax. So glad you spotted us and you are quite right we do knit for so many worthy causes. No matter what you make it will be sent to a deserving home so feel free to make what you enjoy making. We have our challenges but these are for fun (although we produce lots of lovely things that all help somewhere). You can choose to do these if you want or you can choose from our wish list or simply do what you enjoy making. GO FOR IT GIRL!.

. Hi Jazeygirl, Welcome to Loving Hands. But Be Warned. We all joined to use up some of our stash of wool. Yet I have yet to hear of anybody doing it. LOL. We keep going out and Looking and feeling all that lovely wool for sale. and keep buying it. So if you have any tips for doing getting our stash down. Please share

Hi there

Thank you all for your lovely warm welcome. I have just finished my first white square for the union jack and bought some royal blue wool today so there will be a few more squares made in the near future in between taxiing children around to their various activities and walking my dog. Oh yes and most people would say I'm a little mad! Craft mad that is, I also like crochet and patchwork, just haven't had much time to do it for the last errrm 13 years!!

Happy knitting!

Jazeygirl

Ooo! another yorkie! Hi Jazeygirl, welcome from South Yorkshire - we yorkies don't have a local group unfortunately so we have to dream of cakes & chat while we knit at home. This is a terrific gang - as others have said, whatever you make can be found a good home via Lou & her challenges plus the ongoing support provided via the "wishlist". The most important thing is to enjoy your craft and, if you're inclined join in the chat on the threads.

Any problems - just post and there's almost always someone can help.

Pam x

Hi from another West Yorkshire girl well we have one foot in Lancs and the other in Yorkshire- Todmorden - you will love it with LH the knitting or whatever you want to make will find a home where it is truly needed. Lou is the most wonderful person going - an inspiration to everyone. No matter when you come on to the forum there is always something that will make you smile or even laugh out loud. - someone will alway answer a question you have - the callenges are great but so is the wish list . I have found a reason to knit and just love it. and I am sure you will.

Anita

Hello Jazeygirl from Fareham (near Portsmouth)

My stash has grown since joining Loving Hands as I can't pass a wool shop now without thinking 'that would be great for a cardigan, hat, poppy etc) so buy even more :) I didn't have any red or blue so I HAD to go and buy that didn't I?

Enjoy the forum, it is great fun.
