Just seen on the news that Stonehaven (amongst other places in Scotland) have been flooded.
I will not be moaning about our horrible (but not disastrous) weather here today.
Hope all you ladies and your loved ones up there are OK.

I do hope every body in Stonehaven is high and dry now. I have not seen any news about the floods. So hopefully they are not to bad. Thinking of you all. Pat.

Stella told me she had heard on the radio about flooding in Stonehaven - I do hope that Mag and George's house has not been affected as they are still on holiday - expecting them to be passing back on their way up the road today sometime. I will worry till she is safely home and has checked all is well!

Fingers crossed for Mag and George. I'm sure we are all thinking of them. I can't imagine my house being flooded...all that mud and sludge. My heart goes out to anyone who gets that.

Mag phoned me this morning to say they arrived home yesterday and everything is fine. The river that flooded is near them but their street has not been affected. I'm sure she'll be on later to update you.

Oh I'm so please Mag escaped the flooding it would have been awful to come home to .
I feel so sorry for those who have to go through it and i hope the insurance companies hurry up and get their fingers out for those affected .
We had it 2 years ago and you will never guess who was the most inconsiderate person during it .Not the insurance company but MONTY DON ,he lives just up the road and he kept making tidal waves as he drove through it in his land rover for fun ,so much so he broke my front fence down. Mind you it was quite funny (didn't think so at the time ) watching 25 foot of fence go sailing off down the road and there was nothing we could do but watch ,it was the last time we saw it.
Good luck to all

Glad you escaped the flooding Mag.
There were a lot of roads closed round here as well - the end of our road was like a swimming pool and the dual carriageway just at the bottom was flooded all the way across both lanes again, quite deep too - just with all the water coming down the hill.Just as well we have a drain at the back door as the rain was running down the steps from the garden like a river, almost as bad as it was a couple of weeks ago, and more to come I believe.

Elaine.
