hi has anyone tried the boyfriend hat pattern yet. i had it adapted for two needles and started one on monday. i started the top shaping last night and it works out wrong. the first set of decreasing was ok but the second row left me with 10 stitches to few, i undid it and tried again and got the same result. any ideas please. i have lots of lovely grey wool given to me by lou and thought i could make some hats for the sailors.

Hi ya! I had this problem a while back and thought I'd done it wrong after trying to knit and watch tv at the same time. LOL!
Anyway, where it says Decreases: the only rows that are wrong are as follows:

Row 2 should read: *K2, P2tog, K2, P3; repeat from * until end of row

Row 8 should read: *P2tog, K1; repeat from * until end of row

Hopefully, I've remembered it right and it works out ok for you. Let me know if you have anymore probs. I knitted quite a lot for the challenge and they came up lovely.

Alison xx
