Lovely work everyone, the pictures are great. I'll have to try a picture one day. I agree the poppies are addictive and look better with the leaf. I can't find the pattern with the leaf so if anyone would like to post it on here I would be grateful. (just the leaf will do) thanks.

I was just going to ask for a leaf pattern too. I've got quite a stash of poppies growing but I can't work out how to do a leaf to go with them.

my leaf pattern is almost the same except i have an extra row of increase and decrease so at the widest point i have 11 stitches on my needle.

ive been using 2 strands of 4ply wool on 3 1/4m needles

A very simple leaf that came off a babies pumking hat I have done them in DK with 4mm needles

With green cast on 3 sts and work 2 rows in garter st.
Next row continue in garter st increase l st at each end of next and following alternate row (7st)
Work 5 rows straight
next row decrease 1 st at each end of next and following alt row (3st)
I then knit around 8 rows
Next row cast off

Hope this picture works so you can see what they look like.
Just looks neat on the back with the pin attached.
Depends on how long you do the tab as to how much leaf is showing (or if you
are watching TV and get carried away)
Image

Many thanks
