Hi again, many thanks for the welcome. I was quite nervous of joining but found myself quite excited at the thought of being part of something so good and with so many kind people. I am not sure if any one else lives near me, but I would like to do what ever I can to help. Sue

Where are you located Sue - you might find there are members not too far away - we number over 800 in total now!

I see from your first thread Sue that you are in Reading Berkshire, so maybe there are a few others in your neighbourhood. Anyway, welcome to LH I am sure you will enjoy being with us all and joining in the challenges :D Dot

Welcome to L H, it is a great social group. Plus you get lots of help with patterns, and any questions that may crop up. I bought some wool I thought was D K. But turned out to be extra chunky, knitted with size 6mm needles. I said about my problem, and soon got suggestions, and where to find patterns. Great stuff. What do you like to knit? I like small stuff. But Anything you want knit I know our chief Lou, will find a welcome home for.

I am sat at Watergate Bay at the moment in cornwall and can hear the Sea and wind crashing around outside. Oh yes I am still knitting my husband thinks it is funny. I am in the middle of a crochet blanket but have just picked up a pattern for bootees and I am working like mad on the squares and hope to have my first parcel ready soon - sue

Hello Sue I wonder if you were anywhere near my son. We have just come back home to Scotland and he was heading from Telford to Cornwall when we left him on Tuesday. Crantock was his destination. We haven't heard from since so we are hoping he has not got caught up in any flooding or really bad weather. I think he and his partner were looking forward to seeing some really rough seas while they were away. Hope you are enjoying knitting with us. :D Dot
