[b][i] :P I have had an email and photos from the Kenyan orphans Project (remember we made 300 teddies and sent them to Alice down at bristol Uni to take with her colleagues on a medical trip this summer?) Well Azri has sent us a lovely message of thanks and I have assured him that we will be only too pleased to help them in future if they need anything again :0)

Dear CharityKnitters,

I am writing on behalf of the Bristol Kenyan Orphan Project (KOP). I would
like to say a big THANK YOU to your charity for giving us the knitted
teddies which we managed to bring to Kenya and give to the orphans in our
project. They (and even us!) absolutely loved them! Attach to this email
are some pictures from the day when we gave the teddies to the children.
Thank you again and hopefully we can work together again sometime in the
future!

Azri

Oops - Azri has sent zipped files and they are just copying into an adobe photoshop album so I can't get them for you yet - I will have a fiddle and see if I can put them into a file I can access for you :0)

Hope you can manage it Lou, would really enjoy seeing photos of the kids with the teddies, it makes it all so worth while if you can see the fruits of your labour in action, as it were :D Dot

Lou, thanks so much for putting these photos on. The group one is so lovely and quite brought a tear to my eyes. I have never made any toys (too fiddly for me) but it is lovely to see LHs work in the hands of the recipients. Like Pauline said a few weeks ago it would be wonderful if we could have some photos of the little children wearing the jumpers you send out to the orphanages. It is lovely to see the donations on the Algerian action site and would be the icing on the cake to see some little ones wearing them, but I suppose all the security laws would prevent it knowing how pc the world has become.

Lovely photos. Great to think of each child with their own knitted friend. I'm sure they will be much loved. I remember as a small child my favourite teddy was one my granny had knitted for me. Thanks Lou and the team for making it all possible.

Great to see the kiddies with the teddies. Any body noticed the little girl with two. LOL. Kids are the same the world over aren’t they. Going to have to knit more now. Thanks Lou for the photos. But it sounds a bit of a palaver, getting them posted.
