Meeting - Thursday 5th November

We had a good crowd last night even though there is a lot of sickness about. Joining me was Jackie, Barbara, Rosemary, Ingrid, Jennifer, Gillian, Margaret L, Rosemary M, Jennifer M, Ann, Anne, Marion, Hilary, Yvonne, Pat and Georgina. The girlies have been so busy preparing for our sale:

Jackie donated these gorgeous angles, snowflakes, blankets and scarf:

Ingrid donated this fab penguin and angel:

Gillian managed to complete this hat even though her mum, dad and kids all not being well:

Ann donated these fab hats for our sale:

Marion donated these lovely scarves and ponchos. The photo shows one poncho but she finished another one during the meeting:

Jennifer has been working away on these cardis, fluffy pillow and gorgeous hats:

Georgina, Noel and Pat have been working away on these matching hats and scarves. Georgina completed this blanket with her left over bits and bobs:

Margaret L managed to complete these fab tree decorations despite not being well:

Great work girlies. Youse are a fab bunch of busy bees.

Lovely donations - I can't believe how much work you ladies produce :shock:

I particularly love the penguin - very cute. Is he a complicated knit?

k2tog, the penguin is one I recognise from a Jean Greenhowe book so I'm sure he's not complicated. Most of her patterns are wonderfully easy to follow. I'll have a look this evening and let you know which pattern book it was in (probably the Christmas one thinking about it :lol:

I found the penguins in the Jean G. book called simply "Knitted Toys". It features the Scarecrow on the front. I have scanned the pattern so if anyone would like it send me your email address and I will send it to you.
