my daughter has helped me do a photo of the hats so far, i hope this works.
I've been doing the small and medium sizes, I i've used my 'random' ball of wool now so will do some brighter colours next for the paul o'grady appeal

Well done and I think it is great you have posted a picture. Have never tried this. Maybe No.1 son will show me how someday. It is great to see peoples projects.

Love the name and the hat! I like to knit the hats as they don't seem to take too long and you don't have to concentrate too much on them.

I was going to post a packet of hats off on friday but my lovely postie was really helpful and told me that for the same postage i was being charged i could send another 100grms of weight so im going to keep knitting till i reach that weight before i post them off if thats OK.
I've done 12 super stretchy ones so i might switch to a different style now or is i ok to knit lots of the same one?

 You can make any baby pattern you like for the hats - if you are getting fed up doing the ame one then by all means change to a different pattern - or even try a wee cardigan or blanket :0) A change is as good as a rest they say - we have lots of pattern links on our patterns page :0)

Lou, i sent you a package yesterday with some hats and the corner to corner blanket square in. i hope it arrives safely. 
I'm working on a pink corner to corner for my niece now then have a green one ive promised my youngest son.
Then i will crack on with some more baby things for here, I still have quite a bit of baby wool left.

Glad the parcel arrived ok Lou
over the weekend ive finsihed the pink blanket for my niece-i did a corner to corner in stocking stitch and had a ball of fancy pale pink sparkly wool that ive knitted the lace edging in. I think i'm going to sew it together and edge 2 sides to make a shawl shape (i have just enough edging for 2 sides) Thats hwer christmas pressie sorted. I've started the green square for my youngest son then i am back making a few baby bits for in here

i've come across a cardigan in chunky marled pale demin blue i started in fishermans rib, its a 20in chest size i've started, hopefully this will be ok for one of your charities Lou. I'll pull this in along side My lads square and see what it looks like when its finished.

slight problem with the fishermans rib cardigan  , i dont know which pattern i was using as it had shaped armholes and the one in the bag has no shaping so its all been pulled down adn restarted using the pattern i have. over the weekend ive done the back 2 sleeves and one front (im doing the smallest size  ) so it should hopefully be finished soon. Only problem is i havent got any buttons so am i ok to post it off without them Lou so they can be added at your end?

Well I have made 4 gowns from the website pattern and I have done them in double knitting; 4ply; 3ply and 2ply. I have put little hats with them and also bootees. The 2ply bootees just fit over my little finger.
I hope these are OK for "the cause"
I have been told that some of the babies born too soon just fit in the palm of your hand. I think it must be lovely for mums and dads to be able to dress their teeny, tiny angel in clothes. Helps the grieving process
I have also made twin teddy bears in the past with a heart shaped button on the tummy. Got the idea off the internet - the thinking is that mum and dad keep one bear and the other bear stays with the baby and they are therefore joined. A lovely idea isn't it?
Anyway, yak, yak I will stop now and sew things up and start some tiny cardigans.
You are all such a happy lot - really enjoy reading the messages

 Love the idea of the twin bears - sounds ever so sweet :0) Sounds like you are doing a great job there Lesley
(On the subject of wee gowns and baby bonnets girls - I often get them in without any ties on them - when you make gowns there should be ties at the back of the neck and the top of the skirt seam and there should be ties on the bonnets too - either twisted wool or a crocheted tie does fine as the hospitals prefer these to ribbons).

THanks Lou , i got a supply of buttons yesterday but was busy blitzing the boys rooms so didnt get a chance to put the puter on all day.
I've been doing my sons square this week as hes been really good at bed times and said hell go off so i can do his blanket then he looks in the morning to see how much is done .
Hoping to get the cardi finished at the weekend
