This was on the BHKC website after Raynor... The Sailors Society Woolly Hat Week is in early February (3-9th) and Easter is what the 22nd or 23rd of March so it might be something different and fun to do as one of the Challenge things? It runs all year and they want to beat the target of 15,000 hats they made last year ...that would be something to be proud to be part of and I can knit men's hats in chunky wool and so take part! There was a mention on the Loving Hand' s Blog about doing Christmas jumpers for men and it didn't come to anything and with the boobs and the Baby Pack and the Preemies it might be nice do do something aimed at blokes? Just a thought!
Sounds Good Lindsay - what do the rest of you think? Yes it was such a shame for the guys on HMS Argylle that we didn't manage to find anyone with a machine to make them some jumpers - maybe next year we can do them! Hats for sailors sounds like fun though and they wouldn't take too long to knit up!
