Hey all
looking for nice and simple knitted toy patterns recently i come across this one on craftybits for a jelly baby doll:
http://www.craftbits.com/viewProject.do?projectID=1876

if you look at the bottom you'll see they have set up a challenge to knit 5000 of these to send to a childrens charity.
Just wondering if it would perhaps be a nice little charity challenge that loving hands can set up for to send to a UK charity or hospitals (the craftybits challenge is for australia). i thought since they were so quick to make it would be nice to see all the little rainbow jelly babies that could be donated, having seen the fantastic results of the knitted boob challenge. i would definatly donate a few if loving hands set the challenge. Very Happy

These are adorable and look quick and easy to knit. It would be fun and a change a way to use up scrap yarn. It says it is a worldwide challenge based in Australia so as Loving Hands sends to the Baby Pack Project in Africa why not to Australia?! Very Happy

Laughing These are just soooo cute! They would be great for Baby Pack as they like to put small soft toys in each pack or even for the prem baby units as wee gifts for the babies too :0)

That will be great if Shelly (and maybe Raynor and Lou's ones too) can use the toys for the preemie units as it will mean Loving Hands only has UK postage and wont need to pay to send them to Africa or Austrailia! Very Happy

Laughing Oddly enough Jenna has already said she will only stuff these ones for us if she gets her pick of the first ones that I make - bet it will be a pink one though as that is her favourite colour! Laughing

I was in one of our local pound shops today as they stock wool but usually I find the colour a bit bright for my tastes. But with the jelly babies on the cards they were perfect I got one ball each of very bright purple, acid green and what mum calls heart attack pink! LOL Shocked They should be great jelly babies! Very Happy It is funny the way things come back around again and are suddenly in fashion... look at knitting?!
