I will keep that one in mind for the summer to autumn challenges - could be such a laugh - wonder what we could come up with given a free reign! :0)

I've been knitting a matinee jacket in cream and I dropped 2 stitches I found one but I cant find the other one no matter how hard I look it's not noticeable though as it is a lacy pattern so hopefully I should get away with it.

Margaret.....hahaha. Your boob face is hilarious. The nipple looks like a little top hat. I was having a miserable time at work but you've really cheered me up. I think you're right and it would be a great icebreaker - perhaps you should call her Betty Boob!

I have now nearly finished the navy vneck jumper I was knitting it has just to be sewn up. Hurrah!!
It tool longer than I thought but that's probably because I've been doing other things too. Anyway I'm glad that's done I'll probably do a yellow one next as the navy is driving me crazy as it is difficult to see to pick up stitches and sew up as it is so dark so the yellow should be a lot easier.

I received a pattern for a vneck jumper in chunky from Sheena so I've started one in yellow. It's amazing how quick it knits up as I only started this morning and I've done the back and I'm halfway through the front. I love chunky wool
I should have enough wool to do another 2 in yellow and I've got some pink chunky so I should have enough for about 3 with that. Then it will be back to dk which will seem so slow but at least the chunky jumpers should boost the totals. I notice on the feed the children website that the pattern they have for the jumpers is also for 4ply I don't think I fancy doing one in that though, that will be slow.

I am at the moment sewing up my chunky yellow vneck jumper so hopefully I should get it finished before the meeting in Kirkcaldy tonight. I really don't like sewing up as the knitting can look okay and then the sewing up can spoil it. It's not too bad but I find the most difficult bit to sew is under the arms.

Hi everyone
Just thought I'd update my WIP I've finished the lilac matinee jacket in 4ply, a stripey jumper and I am now decreasing on my corner to corner blanket. I'll definitely get these finished for Monday night, I always feel guilty when everyone else is handing in loads of things and I've got hardly anything done. I have made a determined effort this week to not start anything else until I have finished what is on my needles already. I tend to start things and then I start looking for other patterns and think oh that would be good to do and then I start that and forget about what I've been knitting. Can you make summer resolutions? If so then mine will be to finish what's on the needles before I start something else.
Happy knitting

Hello Lesley, I know what you mean about finishing one thing before you start another. Having seen the Teddy for Tragedy, I'm itching to start one but am presently knitting a knee blanket which I know I must finish first, otherwise it will be left and not finished Hopefully I will do both before the end of June Shall look forward to seeing your stripey jumper on donations thread soon. I have just competed my corner to corner blanket it isn't as big as I wanted it but I wasn't sure if I had enough wool, plus the wool got really tangled and I spent about 2 hours untangling it all. I always start my wool from the middle of the ball but although it can flow easier it sometimes is tangled in the middle. Does anyone else find this happens?
