Some of you have requested I put up a wish list so you will know what we are currently needing so here goes:0)
Knitted Boobs - ongoing - we will always need these!
Blythswood have requested warm clothing and lap rugs so their priorities at the moment are:-
For all ages:-
Hats
Scarves
Mittens
Gloves
Lap Rugs
Blankets
Bed Socks
Jumpers
Cardigans
Bed Jackets
Toys
Feed The Children
Jumpers and Cardigans for children from 22" to 34" - an extra 2 inches added to length of sleeves and body. No all white as this is colour of mourning. If you are doing school jumpers then any yarn, any pattern, v neck style in one of the following colours - Navy, Royal Blue, Bottle Green, Burgundy, Yellow and Pink. They also require Blankets in 3' x 4' or 4' x 6'.
Save the Children
Hats for babies - bright colours preferred!
Maternity Units
in sizes from 10" to 18"
Cardigans
Bodywarmers
Hats
Mitts
Bootees
Blankets (15" to 26")
Burial Gowns
Angel Pockets
Shawls
Small Toys
Receiving Blankets
Linda MacDonald Foundation
Linda is needing all sorts of things for the orphans in the orphanages she takes care of in Bulgaria.
We will make for her special children
(sizes from newborns to 16 years)
cardigans,
jumpers,
dresses,
trousers,
pyjamas,
nightdresses,
hats,
scarves,
gloves,
mittens,
socks,
blankets
toys
Teddies for Tragedy
Teddies (to the correct pattern)
Bags for teddies
Baby Pack and Burundi are at the moment offline - Burundi has all the bears they need and Baby Pack are having problems receiving our parcels due to corrupt officials at customs so have said not to send at the moment.
Blankets for animal shelters - from small 15" squares for pussy cats to giant warmers for Great Danes and Rotties - our animal friends love to be kept warm. Some of the members have even made dog coats as well - great for mutts who are recovering from nasty illnesses that might cause hair loss :0)
Obviously nice soft yarns would be preferable for the baby clothing and hard wearing ones for the blankets.
Right I think I have covered the majority of what we need at the moment - I will add to this and update as required.

Lou, if you know, could you indicate whether wool content is preferred or to be avoided, or if it doesn't matter either way. Thanks!

HI Lou
This is just what I needed, as I like to help with the Challenges but I also like to know what is most needed for the other charities, rather then knitting something on the off chance.
