well I am knitting myself a cardi in gorgeous lilac wool with coloured bits in it. It is actually a DK baby wool but I liked the colours so much I bought it
I have just finished a blanket and 4 hats and sent them off to Lou
I have also been crocheting a waistcoat with gold chenile but I am not sure about that - dont like it much so might unpick it.
And ----- I have some lovely raspberry pink sirdar wool waiting to be knitted. I found a really nice pattern and cant wait to get started.
I still have some pastel wools left too so want to do a few more hats.
When I will ever get all this finished I dont know
Love

Hello Pam. Glad you are getting into the knitting really strongly I must admit to having had a little peep at your website I belong to an art group, mainly for the company but I do enjoy having a dabble. The raspberry yarn sounds super you will have to put a photo in when you have a finished article Dot

Hello Pam
I live in Hampshire and have just looked at your website. Beautiful pictures. My husband paints and draws but I am not artistic. I don't know how you find time to knit as well.
Keep up the good work.

Well the lilac cardi is knitted but I cant sew it up. The wool has bumpy bits in it which means I can use the wool to sew it up and will wait till I get to the shop to get a matching wool
Re the raspberry cardi - dont ask !!!
i started it and it is a lacey border pattern around the bottom. the first few rows were ok then I lost a stitch.. had to unpick the row - I forgot a yfwd ARGH!!!!
Ok so I knitted a few more rows. Too many stitches LOL
Unpicked 2 rows found the mistake.
I must not knit this while watching TV
so I am back to hat knitting - just doing one and hope to do some more. The good thing about doing them is that I can watch TV at the same time
LOve

Hi Pam
Sounds as if you have been really busy. I had a similar experience with a purple cardigan for myself. Everything went fine until I had to do the sleeves and because I am quite small I couldn't manage to alter the pattern to get the right length. Needless to say, I am not happy with the result and disappointed as the wool was pretty expensive.
I am living near Petersfield in Hampshire. I have been here 7 years after living in the North East but really pleased to have made the move.

Well I finally managed to work out the pattern on my raspberry coloured cardi.
I did get it wrong again when I did the fronts but am now on the sleeves and hoping to get it finished soon
The lilac cardi is still not stitched up. I have some wool the right colour but I hate sewing up LoL
I'm off to a wedding at the weekend and trying to decide if i will need a cardi to wear. the weather doesnt look too good for saturday. I think I will put my thermals on under my outfit
Keep up the good work with all your knitting. I hope to get some more hats etc done when I have done my cardi
Love

Hi Pam
Pleased to see he raspberry cardigan is progressing well. I had to wear th purple one I knitted over the weekend as we were cold when we came back from holiday and the only thing I can say about it is it keeps you warm. I shall only be able to wear it in the house as the sleeves are so long and my attempts to alter the pattern were really pathetic.
We are going to a surprise birthday party for my brother on Saturday so I was hoping it was going to b a nice day. Hope you enjoy the wedding and the sun shines for the bride.

Well done Pam - it's always rewarding when you finish something...especially when it has been tricky and taken a long time. Whose wedding are you going to?
Is he your older or younger brother Molly and is he local to you?
Hope the day turns out nice for you both. Eat a bit of cake for me!

Hi Lorraine
Sorry I am so late in replying. My stepson has been staying for a week and we have been out and about. My brother's surprise party was in Cuckfield, near Haywards Heath, where my nephew lives. We managed to have a BBQ but it was pretty chilly and quite windy. My brother was 75 and I have another brother who is 77 in September. I am the baby of the family - I was 62 on 7th June and celebrated on holiday.

Well fancy that Molly....I'm 1/2 hour drive from Haywards Heath. When there are problems on our train line, we sometimes have to go to Haywards Heath instead. Congratualtions on your birthday too - it's great to get away from it all. Glad you all had a lovely time. Saw your news about sending in a teddy....you've done well considering how busy you've been and entertaining last week.

Thanks for my birthday wishes Lorraine. Fancy you living so near to my nephew. It's a small world. I have sent off the parcel today. Not a lot in it but I suppose every little helps.
Looking forward to the new challenge whatever it may be!!!!!!!!!!!!!
