They are easy Ilona - just remember it is easier to pick up each of the points round the side of the centre as you go and then follow the pattern instead of casting them on and sewing them on afterwards. It is also great as you don't need to sew in all the ends - tuck them inside before you sew the two sides together and they act as padding! Have fun!

Does it work if you use two strands of wool to do the knitting and then you would only have to make one middle and six points but of course you would have to sew in the ends Dot

Not really Dot the idea of doing two sides is so they look the same on both sides - if you just knitted them double thickness you would still have a 'back' showing if you know what I mean :0)

I suppose that you could knit them in tandem - both on the same needle but with 2 balls of wool on the go but it would get a bit tricky doing the points.
