   Here you go girls the totals you have all been waiting for!!!

In the Autumn Challenge I set you back before I had my accident I asked you for 200 boobs for Tommee Tippeee - our total to date is 120 - a bit short of the target but Barbie, Kate and I will continue making them to make sure Avril doens't go short.

I asked you for 300 scarves for Blythswood and we have made it - 309 to date - well done!

I also asked for 500 items for Linda McDonald and we now have - wait for it - drum roll please!!!! 736 items - all bagged and waiting for Lida to send over the lovely Barry with his landrover to collect them! Fantastic effort girls :0)

Stella has helped me also to count and bag up hats for Paul O Gradies Save the Children challenge and we had 1,600 hats which we bagged up in 8 parcels each containing 200 hats! Didn't we do well :0)

You should all be ever so pleased with yourselves.

Right I am off to post the new challenges - hope you are all ready for them :0)

 That would be great Dot - I do love the boob challenge - not only because it brings us most of our publicity but also because it is such a great way to 'pay it forward' our boobs go to Tommee Tippee who pass them to the midwives and Doulas in exchange for donations to Breast Cancer Charity and in return Tommee Tippee donate to us the extra baby products they have lying around in their warehouses so we can pass them on to our overseas projects. It is a definite win win situation :0)

 No they don't have to be in flesh colours - although most we get are in shades from white to chocolate to cover all nationalities we have had quite a lot of extremely 'alien' ones in shades like scarlet and purple (some in lemon with purple nipples too if I remember correctly) so don't be afraid to just use up any leftover dk to make them - they all add to the totals :0)

What a great effort everyone...just goes to prove....the show must go on! Don't worry Lou, we'll make up for the boob shortfall - I think it was down to all those creative juices flowing in the Pimp my Boob comp that we didn't get to make as many "normal" ones. Mine might have to be multi-coloured as I only have limited supplies left. With the new job, I have to work the month first and then claim the money...then they won't pay me for 30 days! Times are lean! Making do with what I've got....Nigel's philosophy - doesn't understand why a stash has to be so big!

Well done everyone, I will knit boobs in between other things as we seem to always need them.
I know what you mean Lorraine, I used to get paid like that. In the days when I got paid that is.
I too have a husband who says why do you need to buy wool? have you used up all that already?
He doesn't mind, he just doesn't understand
Nita

Fantastic effort. My contribution just being one parcel but didn't start till August. I have a couple of boobs I can send soon (the knitted variety obviously  ) with another parcel now I have the pattern and can do more.

So lovely to see you back Lou. Take care.

Love, Margaret
