Sharon, I am ashamed of my nearly finished blanket, having seen yours.

Amazing totals Lou well done to all of our wonderful members. I haven't been able to knit for almost a week as it's been too humid & hot but back to it last night putting finishing touches to my donations, may even manage to sneak in a little bit of something else and then on their way to you. lol Andrea

Thank you everyone for your kind words of encouragement. I can't believe how quickly I have taken to knitting, but it's all thanks to Lou and her excellent teaching skills! :D Have nearly finished my second blanket with the lacy border - need some help from Lou tomorrow for putting it all together! :)

 OK Sharon here is where you can get your own back - Anouk also finished her blanket last week so I duly took her photo with it couldn't make one pupil any different to the other :0)

Image

On the same day she also finished off her very first bag project - it is made in Sirdar Bigga on 12 mm needles so was a lovely quick knit and I was able to show her how to make a large twisted cord for the handle and put on the firnges too - she is ever so pleased with herself and plans to make a couple more of these for Christmas presents - this one is to be a gift for her sister in law in Venezuela as her Father in law is visiting next week so will take it back with him :0) She went off yesterday with her first ever garment cast on and started - she is making herself a lovely striped tank top using black, grey and white dk that her kind boss brought for her. One very nervous pupil but I have every faith in her :0)
