wow, and it's only just started, excellent. I am trying to get cracking but every pattern I have started I have given up on for one reason of another. If anyone has any patterns for very easy summer items or can tell me of a web site that I can find them it would be very much appreciated. They have to be easy though!!

Wonderful news Lou, having just started the Summer Challenge. I must pull the fingers out and get cracking. No housework today, everyone look after themselves and of course make me the odd cuppa. Sun shining beautiful, warm enough to sit out the back and knit. Happy knitting/crochet/sewing folks.
Mag x :D

Started cutting out this am, have to do it in short bursts ( dodgy back). Doing skirts for the Teens, With drawstring ties as this will fit varying sizes. Dresses later for Tinies ,also shorts for teens. Finding it hard to go back to sewing after the 'intense' knit session. Sewing was more my 'thing' before the Toy Bonanza!!!!Have 4 baby coats & hat ready if you want to add to running total which I think is great idea . Back to cutting out now. Do.

Don't overdo the cutting out Do - wouldn't want you to hurt your back :0) Mag - hope George is bringing you loads of tea and making sure you are not interrupted - so glad you have your priorites right - knitting and crocheting first - the rest of the housework can wait :0)

I'm going to save my items up and post less often, but larger parcels if that is okay.

Great to see the totals started already!

it's brilliant to see the totals growing already - we really are a committed lot - in every sense of the word! Do you want donations as we make them lou or can we send larger parcels every few weeks. Just wondered how you do this as this is my first full blown challenge with you.

we have been finding it is more cost effective to wait till you have a lot to post and send everything in at once - a lot of the girls have started using Parcel2go.com you can fill a very large box right to the brim and it costs less than £8.00 to send - you don't even need to lug it to the PO as they collecty from your house and drop off at mine :0) This works out great if you want to send in a box once a challenge - just put £1 in a jar every week and you will have more than enough to pos your box by the end of the challenge - if you happen to be lucky enough to live near other members then you can perhaps share a box and the cost which would make it even more cost effective :0)

Hi Lou - great progress from last time I checked. I completed a SANDS blanket at the weekend but will keep until a few more items made, then send off all together

brilliant totals its always lovely to see how fast we can work together.

just a thought Lou would it be easier to just edit the top post say once a week so the updated totals are easily visible as the thread grows

Good idea Diana - maybe just editing the top post will keep the info handy for all to see :0) (as long as everyone realised I was doing this as mostly if you see new posts you would go to the last page of the post to see what was new) .

We got a couple of Sands blankets at the local meeting today as well so they are starting! :0)
