I know have seen a pic of the lace edging for a sands blanket. But I can't remember where. Can anybody help me please? I have finished my 1st one. All but the lace edge. Pat xx

The picture has probably disappeared along with the image poster Pat:0( The instructions are still on the forum though so I am sure you will be able to get it done no worries :0) It is nice that we are still getting them in - I keep a box in the corner and pop them in as they arrive and as soon as the box is full I send it to Sands - they are sooooo delighted with what we are doing for them :0)

I do hope I have done the border right. As I have nearly finished the border, it was much easier than I thought. The thought of making a strip 20 inches x 4 plus bits for the corners. = 80 + inches felt a long way. I found I did 1/3 in an evening. I will put the finished shawl in with my next box to you Lou. Long way to go yet, till the box is filled, that the first thing done. xxx Pat

When I knitted my Sands blanket I alternated in doing a bit of the blanket on one set of needles and and edging on another set. I was surprised how quickly they both grew.
