Just catching up after family have returned to Canada, had a great time but all too short.

Have been looking through all the lovely donations, beautiful work as always, and so many donations.
I shall have to pull my finger out now and get on with the knitting again.

Keep up the good work girls.

Mag x :D

Molly - I bought and ate all the bon bons so I will have to go back to the shops and get more.
Well done everybody, I really love the look of the sands blankets but I know I am not patient enough to even cast it on so I envy all those who are making them, perhaps one day, eh
Mag - bet your missing them all being with you, I go through that every time someone comes to me, but the good bit is - they always come back again.
Hope my parcel posted 20th May arrive OK?
Jean in France
xx

Just scrolled through the latest donations and as ever I am in awe of the quality and variation of the beautiful items produced. Still reeling after seeing the photo of 92 teddies on the sofa!

Well done to all

Lots of parcels to get through as well as piles of things handed in so here goes for a mammoth afternoon of updating - sorry for the dealy girls :0)

Granny Do sent over two big black bags of kids clothes and some wool with her next door neighbours mum and dad (thank you Campbell and Ena - I hadn't seen you both since I left Kinross 18 years ago and it was so lovely to catch up when I came to collect :0) There were also an amazing pair of slippers (remember the post re the boobs in the shop window that Bob got ever so excited about and it turned out to be slippers - well here they are! - Thank you Do - Ilove them xx)

Image

There was also a surprise in a very heavy cardboard box - two home baked irish bun loaves and two tins of Manx Knobs (very nice minty sweets) - one set for the family and one for the Kelty group - the ladies loved it and quite a few went home with chunks of cake wrapped in tinfoil to share with their families - we did disintegrate into fits of laughter when after reading your warning in theh postcard about watching your teeth while eating the Manx Knobs - I had just put one in my mouth and as I can't wear my teeth because of the constricture of the scarring on my face I proudly announced ' well I've nae teeth so I can happily suck on a knob! ' it wasn't till everyone fell about in fits of laughter that I realised what I had said had sounded very rude ! Ever so glad Kelly was in the kitchen boiling the kettle for tea at the time or she would have been black affronted at her cheeky maw ! ;0) So a great big thank you Do for the lovely cake and sweets. I did phone you and gave you a big shock - think you nearly dropped your mixing bowl when you realised it was me at the end of the line xxx We had hoped to holiday over there this summer until I discovered the cost of the ferry - nearly £500 just to get the car and 3 passengers over from Heysham - it would have cost more than the cottage we found for a week and sadly not in our budget this year - maybe we might make it another time if I start saving really hard :0)

Stephanie(Ellie) dropped in again on her way back from doing a job in Glenrothes and she dropped in a whole load of stuff from her mum and her friend - there was 1 Sands blanket, 10 small blankets, 1 red boob, 1 tiny ted, 1 pair of mitts, 2 burial gowns, 11 baby cardies, 3 kids jumpers and 10 kids/babies hats as well as some preloved clothing and a pack of dk wool from Stephanie - thank you all this was great - it was also great to see you again Stephanie - don't forget the Knitpic in the park - you know your way from Glasgow over here now and there is no excuse not to join us xx

No wonder Granny Do clouted the other half..........they only look like boobies if you squint your eyes up really tight!
KNobs and sooking them...what are you like Lou, I take they are like lumps of minty toffie stuff.
Fantastic donations from everybody, great stuff. I have had a couple hours in the sweat shop and am now going in search of a box to pack it into - perhaps 2 boxes and a well earned drink - that will be tea by the way.

xx

Fantastic donations once again. I love the "BOOB SLIPPERS"!!! Well perhaps after a few Pernods I could well make the same mistake. I wonder if Bob's bruising has gone following his battering with Do's handbag! If I clobbered anyone with my bag they would be at best out for the count and at worst Dead as my handbag is packed up like a suitcase!
