Here we go girls the donations for Saturday 21st June - I finally got around to unwrapping the eight parcels I had on the dining table! :0) It is so hard to walk past them all the time and not be able to peek - I like to be ready to unwrap, list and photograph before I start! :0)
From Kathy (Mioliere) we had 2 Teddies for tragedy - these were crocheted with knitted heads - very nice too! also 7 baby hats. Kathy's mum Lily May had also made us a beautiful knitted indian doll - love this one too Lily May!
AnnG has sent in her parcel with loads of goodies in it! There were 2 balnkets, 3 baby vests, 3 baby cardigans, 4 baby hats, 3 pairs bootees and 1 pair of mittens. What a great collection Ann - thank you!
Karen in Northampton has sent us in her first parcel with 2 very pretty baby hats - she also found an unfinished cardigan in bag of wool she bought and sent that up for one of our ladeis to finish off - great idea - no point in wasting all that work!
Cathy (Gladcat) has sent a wonderfully sparkly navy blue v neck jumper! This is so wonderfully fluffy and soft too! also 1 Rainbow baby doll, 1 large knitted bear and 1 teeny tiny prem cardi , hat, boots and mitts set (I have put my pen in the picture to give you an idea how tiny this set is!).
Annie and her mum have been busy again too and have sent in a great parcel with 5 kids hats, 2 pairs kids mitts (don't know if you can make it out in the picture but one pair are reversible they look like mittens but when you fold the top flaps back over there are fingereless gloves inside! - cool!) 1 scarf, 3 baby cardigans, 4 baby hats, 1 pair bootees and some 4ply wool to be used up (Annie and her mum don't do 4ply :0)
Jackie has sent in 2 really lovely blankets in rainbow cooured yarns - these are very pretty Jackie!
Micky (Ceally) has sent in 7 baby hats, 1 school jumper and 4 baby cardigans - she was apologising for not getting any more done as she has also had lots of baby's to knit for!!! Don't be silly Micky - these are fantastic!
and finally fot this time Hilda in Lancs has sent in her first parcel also - this one has 15 baby hats, 1 baby cardigan and 4 knitted burial gowns - great start Hilda - thank you! :0)
So there we go the start to the final week for this Summer Challenge - I must admit this one has been very succesfull and I hope I manage to give you all just as good a challenge for the next time if not better!
I am sure I am in for a very busy week unwrapping and photographing and listing all these final donations - wonder what the final totals will be!!!

I've got another 7 balls of the sparkly navy yarn...any suggestions for what I can do with it? The jumper only used just over 2 balls and I got a packet of 10 balls really cheap....
Maybe there will be something in the next lot of challenges I can use it for.

Mmmm you never know Cathy - it is a fabulous soft sparkly yarn - I did like it!
I have just been up at the Hope Chest in Kinross to put up new posters for the local groups (he is going to put one in his Kirkcaldy shop too) they have a great range of yarns in there and I got another couple of Rainbow bright balls of Patons Fab!
What a difference going into a shop where the staff are so nice and friendly. The people who run the Hope Chest are so obliging and can't do enough for you. If they are out of stock of something they will either bring it from the other shop or order it in for you. Lovely people. (Wish I could say the same about the Dunfermline wool shop - they have three times taken posters from me saying they will put them up and have never done it yet - they are also not prone to being helpful either - don't understand how they can run a craft shop when they have such mean hearts :0(
Maybe I should open a special category where we can all post shops and online stores we like and ones to avoid???

Caroline had 1 blanket, 1 spectaculr jumper and 3 baby hats - brilliant!
Nancy made two more of her amazing waffel blankets - these are so cozy Nancy :0)
Maureen brought in another 11 squares to make blankets - clever girl :0)
And Linda - one of Maureen's carers brought in her first completed hat! She has now started a second one in a different colour!
Louise brought another two bears and 1 star toy - wonderful Little Lou!
Jennifer (Jennw) made another 3 bears - you are getting good at these Jennifer :0)
Barbie had made another bear and three scarves - these are great Barbie :0)
Stella - always ever so busy on our behalf! Brought along a lovely big fluffy stole, 1 blanket, 1 poncho, 3 kids hats, 1 adults hat, 2 baby cardigans and 1 child's cardigan :0) You are so clever Stella!
Mary has been busy making 19 teddy bags and another teddy for us - these are brilliant Mary Doll - thank you!
Kate was back today for another flying visit and this time she had brought us 5 boobs, 1 prem cardigan and 1 prem baby hat - lovely as always Kate - we miss you when you are not there :0)
Gladys had collected 17 baby hats from her sister and had made another two wee cardigans herself - thank you Gladys!
Sheena joined us all the way from Alloa with her lovely mum Mej - what a great couple of ladies - you two are great fun and I am sure we will get a few more visits if the hilarity in the Staff Club was anything to go by last night :0)
These two wondeful ladies were absolutely laden with so much stuff - our totals are certainly boosted by your visit girls!
there were 4 teddies, 3 cardigans, 10 jumpers, 23 baby cardigans, 1 knitted burial gown, 2 tiny pairs of bootees, 6 pairs mittens, 21 baby hats and Sheena's brillaint Auntie had also crocheted 9 lap rugs for us too! Phew - took me ages to count it all and had to take 4 photos to get it all in - good job Mej used to work in Patons Mills in Alloa and has a loft full of yarn! You will have it all used up double quick at this rate girls! :0)
Great to see you both and haste ye back!
Right just the parcels to list now so I will pop off and collect my monster from school and my boys from decorating at their grans :0) I have 7 to list (8 parcels but two were from Louise!).

Just paging through all of the marvelous items so many people are contributing. I am hoping that I will be able to send my first small parcel out this weekend! Before I go to Woolfest, that is! I am afraid my little parcel might seem to be a bit paltry! I am not the fastest knitter or crocheter!

Yes Ilona, you can knit it on two needles, that's what I did.
The only bit on dnp is the few rows of rib at the begining. I just sewed that up before I knitted each petal. If you like you can make a flower to go on top but I wasn't sure I could do that, will have a go next time.
