Thought I would share this lovely email with you all girls - Tracy sent it today as she was so pleased with her pair of 'woolly mammaries' that I sent down for her youth work.
Dear Loving Hands
I would like to give all your knitters a big big thank you. Your knitted “Boobs” were a great success in my practical teaching session at our local school here in the Co-Durham area.
I am a youth worker who from time to time goes in to the schools to deliver issued base work. I am currently delivering a pre-parenting course, and one of our sessions is practical parenting.
Within this session the young girls get a fact sheet on a topic i.e. breast feeding, baby changing ect, the group get 10minute to prepare then they demonstrate to the rest of the group how to correctly achieve the above activity.
In the past we have not been able to demonstrate breast feeding in this type of activity, but since I have getting the woolly mammaries it has given this type of demonstration a new lease of life. The young girl who performed the breast feeding done wonders I could have not done it better my self.
I know in the future these session I teach will be easer and better for the young people. The woolly mammaries will be used at great lengths for now and time to come.
So I would like to congratulate all off your knitters on your product, it has made apart of my job a little easer and a bit more young person friendly. Thank you once again.
Yours truly,
Tracy Robinson Ferryhill area support.

I have been keeping in touch with Avril Deane at Tommee Tippee about the competition and how we are doing - here is a clip from her recent reply to my email - thought it would make you all smile :0) Can't wait to get the photo from her so I can post that too!
"I don't think I told you ... your last box of boobs arrived and were delivered to our reception area on the same day as some parcels were delivered from a Baby Shower company for our former colleague Lindsay's Baby Shower. At the end of the day, rushing as usual, I put all the stuff in the car to go to the baby shower and unloaded it all at the other end. I was the Master of Ceremonies at the Baby Shower and so was presenting all the parcels and presents to Lindsey. I opened the box from you and fished around inside ... producing a handful of knitted boobs - including one of the black ones - like rabbits out of a hat. Everyone was in complete hysterics! I think I should have read the label on the box first!!!
It's gonna be great (and Lindsey is in labour as I write!) I will send you a photo of me opening the box and you can use it on the web.
Lots of love - and thanks to all your members for their efforts
Avril "
She is a great lady and it is all down to her that I got you involved in the knitted boobs project in the first place - Avril you have created a monster! :0)

Thanks for posting these Lou. It is always great to hear what our recipients think. The Baby Shower story is certainly amusing....waiting to see the picture.
