I must say that we do have a great time at our meetings as the ladies are such a lovely bunch. They all posess a wicked sense of humour, are self deprecating, helpful, caring and supportive and there is not one large ego in the entire group.

I think you are smashing Portsmouth group!

sorry I didn't make the last meeting - just too much going on and I would have been ashamed as I hadn't done any work for the group. All your work is excellent. When is the next meet?

Hi Chrissy
We did miss you, but appreciate that people cant always make it. Our next meeting is Wednesday 26th August, so next Wednesday and it will be great to see you if you can make it this time.

Please dont worry about coming along if you haven't finished anything. Some weeks are like that with lots going on so please dont let it put you off. If the only time you get to knit is at the meeting thats fine too.

Look forward to meeting up. :D

Hi Everyone

I have finally managed to get on to the Forum and it is lovely to see the beautiful stuff everyone has made and to read about the meeting last week. It sounds great and so exciting to need a bigger room. I really missed it, and the apple cake, which seems to have produced a lot of chat on the Forum. Can't wait to taste it.

Pleased to say that my husband is recovering slowly after his operation even though he had a little set-back last week. I cannot say that I would make a good nurse as I haven't got the patience but I am doing my best.
I would like to especially thank Abi and Lynn for all their help and encouragement during the last week or so - I really appreciated it.

Maureen - thanks for enquiring about my husband and I. It was really kind of you. I have been reading through what I have missed on the Forum and I saw that you are going to be a grandma again. Congratulations, you must be really pleased and I am sure the new baby will have lots of lovely jackets to wear. I can see sparks coming off your needles already.

Well done everyone for all the beautiful knitting and sewing and I am looking forward to the next meeting on 26th August. I won't put my nurse's uniform on. Not sure if my husband's blood pressure can stand it.

Molly

Abi - I don't understand why but I am not getting the update e-mails so I missed this altogether. Not to worry though I think I was in Scotland so I couldn't have made it. Can you post something that says when the next meeting will be so that for the hard of understanding I can find out easily?!
Hope to see you at the next but the Scottish work is building...

All the new faces that I haven't met yet are intriguing.

Chrissy

Nothing Macabre in my visits unfortunately it is for work. I am doing a lot of work up there in the next few months on the Prestwick/Glasgow side of the country. If I can help out by taking "small" things with me give me a shout.
