Wow... time flies.... Wednesday is here again already.

Tonight, I was joined by Lynn, Molly, Pauline, Jean, Julie, Sheila, Marilyn, Margaret, Sue and new member Greta.

A quieter night for donations, but still fantastic amounts. Margaret had been unwell so did not bring her usual mountain of stuff, but looking at last times donations, I think she's done enough for the rest of the year anyway.

Molly has been away so is getting back into the swing working on a lovely autumnal scarf, and I have had another dry week, as I battle to finish 'The Baby Blanket' before the big day.

Sue Andrews kindly sent along a bag of goodies with Molly. Sue and her mum have definitely been busy... loadsa boobs! Thanks Sue.

Lynn will kindly put the pictures on later of the donations from everyone else.

Molly and Pauline both brought along some lovely cakes, which filled a very rumbly tummy... mmm. :)

It was great to hear what everyones been up to, and pleased to see everyone again.

Thanks for a lovely evening ladies! :D

Thanks Abi and Lynn for a great evening as usual and Pauline for the delicious apple cake. It was good to be back and to see the lovely donations. It was also good to meet our new member Greta and I hope she enjoyed the evening.

Well done everyone.

Molly

Hello all. Lovely to see our new member Greta last night, I hope she enjoyed the banter and will come along again. Our regular members are great fun and the meeting is always fun and lively. We have a three week break until the next meeting so I had better get my needles into gear again after my week in Devon!

I have to start the photos with this lovely one of Abi modelling Mazzy's ear flap hat. What a great sport, most ladies would have told me where to stick the camera :D Great fun Abi.

Next we have some more wonderful toys from our Pauline. She has made another giraffe and I have photographed him beside the original. The pop up dolls using our cone middles are fantastic and so well thought out. Loved the hedgehogs too!

Sue Andrews and her mum made these boobs, blankets and great man's slipover. Thanks for the postage donation too Sue.

Had problems again once I get halfway down the page so will now finish the donations in this post (hopefully) If anyone knows what I am doing wrong please tell me :? :?

Sheila made this cardigan and two oxfam jumpers, nice colours. The other two little jumpers are by our other Sue.

We then have Molly's jumper and scarf and some facecloths crocheted by Jean.

Image

Mazzy has been very busy making scarves and hats (plus the one Abi is modelling) Mazzy is doing a sterling job in trying to get through all the donated mohair !

Image
Julie made this very colourful blanket, ball and topsy turvy doll which was delightful.

And, oh bother......her we go again

And finally, sigh....... I made a hat, scarf and neckwarmer and my sister in law Eileen in Devon had made 9 drawstring bags and 40 outer pads! what a star.

That's the lot. I uploaded smaller photos to see if that would make a difference but it didn't

 Brilliant work, Lynn and ladies. I had to smile at your model, doing justice to the hat. Lovely. The pop-up dolls are a good idea too. The hedgehogs are a great way of using up some fluffy wool. Great idea. Where can I find the pattern? :D

Another good evening ladies. Good to see you all again and to hear you at last (I was fitted with a hearing aid on Tueday!)
Lovely to meet our new member Greta - I hope you have grasped the crochet now - I'm not the best of teachers!
Thanks also to Molly for the coconut cake (my favourite)
I will have to see what I can do about the giraffe and hedgehog patterns. The giraffe came from a very old American pattern - not sure it will copy properly - I may have to type it out!!!!
The hedgehogs were an adaption of one of my other patterns.
Please be patient!
Pauline X
