Hi Jean, thanks for the instructions, I will give that a try. It must have been the button that gave it the finishing though. I will not be able to use that on the prem hats I am making for our local hospital. As it may heat up too much under the heat lamps they use to keep the tiny mites going. But I could perhaps sew on with a different colour? Making the centre darker or lighter. What do you think?. Thanks again S S

I had forgotten that you were going to put the crochet flower on a prem baby hat so the petals would have to be smaller and therefore the centre will be smaller so you could sew in the centre with another colour- even yellow to resemble a real flower. I can't think of anything else. Best of luck
