An autumnal feel to the evening this week, as the nights start drawing in. It was soon dark outside, whilst inside was bright, cheery and lots of fun. (As always!)
Present tonight was myself, Lynn, Marion, Sue, Marilyn, Margaret, Sheila and Pauline. Jean joined us at the beginning of the evening, but made her apologies as she needed to return home having received bad news. We are all thinking of you Jean. ((((((((

No cake tonight

but plenty of biscuits
We missed Molly and Chrissy, along with Julie who was feeling unwell. Hope you are feeling better today Julie.
Hopefully we'll soon get to meet Chris from Andover, Sally and also Sue Andrews who I know has some knitting to donate via Molly. It would be great to meet you all.
Some lovely donations again this evening, every week I continue to be amazed by the hard work, and dedication, not to mention the skill of all our lovely ladies.
Jean brought along some delightful face clothes she had knitted (pictures to follow - a la Lynn) and a beautiful baby blanket her sister knitted... supposedly a novice knitter, but i dont think so. Thank you both.
Lynn had knitted some lovely hat and scarf sets, as well as some other hats and a cute cardi. Thank you Lynn
Sue has finished her cuddly snowflake blanket, which is so snuggly and I love it. Thank you Sue
Marilyn knitted a lovely jumper and blanket, which are just fab! Thank you Marilyn.
Margaret came along laden with goodies... I'm sure she must have a team knitting for her

This week we had knitted squares for another of Marions blankets, 2 matinee Jackets, 3 hats, 6 prem baby hats and 2 baby blankets, one of which was a beautiful sunshine yellow, just the ticket as the weather deteriorates. Thank you Margaret.
Marion has been busy sewing up knitted squares into a fab blanket and also sewing on buttons galore! Thank you Marion.
Sheila has been busy sock making, and had 3 pairs this week, and also kindly donated some pens fopr the shoeboxes. Thank you Sheila.
Pauline, like Margaret, I think must have a team of knitters too... this week we had a fabulous selection of toys, finger puppets, and also bags for the local Hospice. I have to admit, I did lose track of everything Pauline brought along, as there was so much, but you will get to see the pictures showing all her excellent creations. Thank you Pauline.
My friend and work colleague, Sheelagh, is kindly knitting away for us, though doesn't come to the meetings, and sent along 2 prem baby cardis. Thank you Sheelagh.

Nothing from me this week, as I am continuing with my interwoven blanket, like the ones Heather in Carrickfergus does so beautifully. I hope mine turns out half as nice.... nearly finished the 'frame' just the strips now. I haven't had a lot of time, what with starting a new job, and trying to finish 'The Baby Blanket' for my new niece who is due to arrive very soon.... just 12 more rows and a huge border.... I'm getting there.
Well, what more can I say. We're settling into our new room, and new routines, and its great to be a part of such a lovely group. Looking forward to the next week already. Thanks Ladies, you make it a pleasure.
