Tonight we were a little thin on the ground as Abi was unwell, Sheila and Sue Coyne were unable to attend and we had already lost Marion. Our attendees were Marilyn, Margaret, Julie, Molly, Jean, Pauline, Greta and myself. As we have had a three week break there were lots of donations so I will endeavour to photograph them all tomorrow as it is a bit too late to start now. There is definitely enough for another box to send up to Fife which will hopefully get there in time for the end of the challenge.

Molly had made a lovely cherry cake which was delicious as usual. Abi had driven to the centre on her way home from work, despite feeling poorly, to drop off the tea and coffee - bless her. I do hope you are feeling better soon Abi. All the girls send their love and best wishes.

We had a very lively meeting despite us being smaller in numbers and the conversations were varied from Biplanes, helicopters, back seat driving and funerals!! We were discussing hymns that we liked for them :)

Look forward to seeing you all in two weeks time which I believe will be in the small room again just for the one evening. It will be cosy :P

Thanks for a great meeting Lynn. We really missed Abi but it was lovely to see all the beautiful donations from everyone. Look forward to seeing the photos when you have time to put them on the Forum. Thanks again.

Molly

Another good evening girls, thankyou. We did miss Sheila, Sue and Abi - hope you are feeling better Abi.
The cake was delicious as always, Molly and the conversation was rather 'varied' but not a bit morbid - we all had a good laugh. Lynn brought the 'funeral' theme to a halt with her announcement that she was going to update her Will today (we all hope we are to be included!!!)
All the donations were lovely. Good to see that they will be in Fife before the shoeboxes are completed.
Look forward to 2 weeks time.
Pauline X

Right, here we go with the photos and I must apologise as they are not very good today for some reason, maybe the light?

Jean had made two beret and scarf sets together with two ladies hats and 2 baby hats
Image

Sheila had been very busy making jumpers, baby blanket, beret and scarf and no less than 30 boobs!
Image

Next we have Julie's very colourful blankets and some baby hats.
Image

Margaret made a lovely Sands blanket, a soft stripey one and some baby hats and
Innocent veg pot holders
Image

Mazzy had made three beautiful blankets and donated some items bought from the charity shop which will make someone very happy.
Image

Pauline had made a huge amount of wonderful toys again.
Image

I found the beautiful blanket in a charity shop along with the peach cardi and hat and I made the other bits.
Image

Next we have a mixed bunch, Molly made the hat and scarf, Greta made the hats top right and Abi the hats in front.
Image

Sally (Pauline's daughter) sent along this lovely group of toys, mitts and blankets. Thanks Sally, I love Humpty.

Well done all of you in Portsmouth. Its great to see the pics on screen and to see all the wonderful knitting and crochet that you have all been doing. I posted my last parcel for this challenge to Lou last week, so hopefully it will get there before the dreaded postal strikes start. Looking forward to the next challenge :D Keep up the good work :D Dot

Hello, looks like you all had a good evening. Sorry i couldn't be with you, and thank you for all your kind words. I am feeling a bit better today and looking forward to the next meeting already.

Lovely donations as always but particularly love: Pauline's Dino - the children who recieve these will be very, very happy; Lynns charity shop blanket (what a find); Jeans berets; Sheilas boob mountain - wow; Julie, Mazzy and Margarets blankets - Margaret looks like you are feeling a bit better from the size of your mountain; Greta's cute hats - glad you came along again; Molly's lovely autumn scarf and hat - I love the colours; and Sallys lovely toys - which again will make some poor mite very happy - i hope we get to meet you soon.

Thanks again to Lynn for all the photo's and posting, to Molly for the home baking (sorry i missed that) and to all of you for your continued friendship and efforts.

See you next time x

Thanks to Maureen too for your good wishes x

Lovely things ladies - you've all been really busy. I especially like the floppy eared bunnies.
